DO WE REALLY NEED ANOTHER BIKE CLUB?

After all, there are plenty of clubs already out there. The answer is, BOMB isn’t just a bike club. True, we are a group that likes to get together to ride the trails, but that isn’t our sole purpose for existing. There’s more: Solid Christian fellowship, encouragement, spiritual challenge and growth, mutual edification, service and ministry.

First, as Believers, what do we believe? Check out our Statement of Faith for the answer.

Second, there are three parts to the vision of BOMB Spokane:

UPREACH: Loving God and seeking to glorify Him in all we do (Colossians 3:17), while continually striving to develop a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – to become more like Him (Romans 8:29).

OUTREACH: The inherent purpose of BOMB as a ministry. Showing and sharing the love of God to all, and inviting non-believers to encounter and know the Lord by spreading the Good News and developing authentic, caring relationships. Fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8).

INREACH: Maintaining a vibrant, caring fellowship with mutual support and accountability, seeking as one to grow in Christ toward solid spiritual maturity (Proverbs 27:17).

BOMB is a place where riders can get together to praise the Lord and give Him thanks while sharing in the fun and adventure of mountain biking. It’s a pretty simple idea. On all of our outings we will emphasize Christ by starting with prayer and including a short devotional and general discussion of the Word. We also want to take the time to listen to each other and “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2).

As a part of the larger mountain biking community, Spokane BOMB also supports the goals and efforts of groups like the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) and the Spokane Fat Tire Trail Riders Club (FTTRC) to promote the sport through good citizenship, responsibility and stewardship of natural resources. We will partner with affiliated groups by participating in trail maintenance and cleanup and authorized trail building to enhance the sport for all. BOMB also seeks to be a servant-minded ministry by supporting and participating in volunteer work with community charitable organizations and church groups.

So if you’re looking for an exciting way to share in the fun and adventure of mountain biking, and to discover what it means to be part of a unique outreach and serving ministry, BOMB may be just the ticket. Come ride with us!
